Lilacs In Spring is worked in two parts. Starting at the border,
working the body, then work a seperate border and attach with kitchener
stitch. The perfect shawl to wear all year round.
Materials
Yarn: 916 yds/840 m fingering weight yarn. Sample is shown in Kidsilk
Haze from Rowan. (70% kid mohair, 30% silk).
Needles: 1 US 4 /3.5mm circular of length 32 in/80 cm. 1extra needle
for kitchener stitch
Gauge
19 sts and 22 rows = 4 in /10 cm in stockinette stitch.
Gauge isn’t that important with this project, but it will obviously
effect the size of your finished size.
Sizes
Directions are given for 1 size.
25.2 in/64 cm wide and 70.9 in/180 cm long after blocking.
